Ikono ligger ved Nørreport i København og er et stor oplevelseshus, der uden tvivl henvender sig til det yngre publikum og dem, der elsker at dele deres oplevelser på sociale medier. Fra det øjeblik man træder ind, er det tydeligt, at alt er designet med det visuelle i tankerne. De forskellige installationer og rum tilbyder et væld af fotomuligheder, hvor om hvert et hjørne kalder på en som baggrund til et foto. Oplevelsen er opbygget som en gåtur gennem flere interaktive rum, hvor publikum, som kan være børn i alle aldre, voksne og teenagere kan udforske deres sanser gennem de kreative installationsrum. Fra farverige ballonsale til spejlsale og glitrende rum, er der noget for enhver smag. Hver scene er omhyggeligt konstrueret for det æstetiske udtryk. Jeg som voksen får lyst til, at det var sådan et sted jeg kunne gå til en fest, hvilket gør det til en fryd for øjet, men måske en smule overfladisk i længden. En kæmpe kunstoplevelse er det ikke, men helt klar værd et besøg hvis man har nogen børn med sig..
En af de største styrker ved Ikono er, at det appellerer til både børn og teenagere på samme tid. De yngre børn bliver betaget af de farverige omgivelser, mens teenagere kan kaste sig i at skabe det perfekte Instagram-billede. Det gør det til et ideelt sted for familier med børn i forskellige aldre, der ønsker en fælles oplevelse.
På den negative side kan det dog føles som om, at Ikono til tider er mere fokuseret på udseendet end på indholdet og selvom det er kunstnere, der har løst opgaverne I hvert af de forskellige rum, så kunne en større kunstnerisk frihed, udtryk og et vildere hjerte, med måske større frihed i konceptet til kunstnernes frihed, måske have skabt en dybere og smukkere og mere sanselig oplevelse.. Mens installationerne er flotte, mangler nogle af dem netop dybde og også interaktivitet. Det er mere en visuel oplevelse end en, der virkelig engagerer og udfordrer sanserne. Det bliver spændende hvor Ikono udvikler sig hen ad – vi giver thumps up til i femtiden at give den gas hvad angår et friere og mere kunstnerisk udtryk.
Samlet set er Ikono et unikt sted at besøge, især hvis du eller dine børn er på jagt efter den næste Instagram-perle. Det er sjovt, farverigt og tilbyder masser af fotomuligheder, men det kan føles lidt som en overfladisk oplevelse, der primært henvender sig til dem, der er optaget af at fange det perfekte billede. Med en smule mere fokus på interaktivitet og indhold kunne det nemt blive en topoplevelse.
